L'Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara

I usually gravitate toward Maybelline mascara on my drugstore makeup runs, but L'Oreal's newest Miss Manga mascara recently found it's way into my shopping basket.  I think it's the cutesy name and the fact that I have no clue what it means, but I was intrigued! Check it out...

A first time for L'Oreal, the new 360 degree flexor brush was a little misleading.  On the front of the packaging the picture of the flexor brush is show bent at an angle.  This means that you can adjusted the wand in different angles for better ease of application, right?

Wrong! What the 360 flexor brush actually does is slightly "flex" left, right, up, and down as you swipe it on your lashes. Think of how a bristle on a brush can move any which way but is still planted on it's base, that's how it works.  The picture does a terrible job of showing this lovely feature.

Yes, it's lovely.  I like the flexible tip quite a bit.  It's got a subtle yet effective amount of movement that allows it to grab onto your lashes like butter.  Not only is the flexor tip lovely, so is this formula.  Just like the packaging promises, it's "Clump-free, flake free, Smudge free".  As far as "instantly builds oversized volume" and "15x lash volume", thats up for debate.  It definitely gave volume but I wouldn't say 15 times more.  I've used other, more volumizing mascaras.( eh hem, Maybelline)

Overall, this mascara is not my holy grail can't live without it, but it was quite nice! The flexor tip was my favorite feature and the formula was smooth.  It's a great everyday pick for only $7.99! I'd definitely recommend trying this if you're in the market.

And...if your wondering, like I was, What is Miss Manga? Well, manga are Japanese comics and we all know that anime ladies have those doll like, long, gorgeous lashes.  That explains the cute anime faces on the packing :)
