Have You Ever Had Blogger's Block?

I am hiding my face behind my unmanicured hands in between keystrokes, because I am embarrassed of my recent lack of blogging.  I've been MIA, and to those of you who were frequenting my blog for my hops or posts, I sincerely apologize!
Vacation photon from Massenuten, VA
I've been at this blogging thing for a few years now, and even that still surprises me that people actually read my blog!  Maybe at some point you've experienced this too, but I've been a little lost.  Call it writers block, soul searching, lack of inspiration, whatever you want, but it got the best of me!

My hubby's been a business owner for quite a few years now, and putting my business degree to use I've been his office manager, marketing team, accountant, etc. and most recently web designer, take a peek...  On top of that, I am mom to a three and ten year old, and I also work as an esthetician at a local spa.  So, I am sure you can imagine, I was feeling a bit burnt out.  As much as I wanted to tell you all about how much I loved last month's Ipsy bag, the PUR waterproof mascara is amazing, I sadly didn't have it in me.  There's something about blogging that makes you so vulnerable that at times you let that get the best of you.
My two girls and I on vacation last week
So... I am recently home from a week of soul searching on vacation with my family, and I am happy to say that I am back at it with full force.  I've forgotten that the reason I started blogging was to connect to and share a fun little piece of me that was becoming lost in mommy hood, life, responsibilities, etc.  Today, it's grown to be so much more!  It's an expression and exploration of my passion for the beauty industry, art of makeup, a resource and connection for other like minded bloggers, and still peppered in with mommy hood and the things that make me, me.

So, if you find yourself taking a break, feeling lost or uninspired, you're not alone!  Try to go back remember how it began and why you started blogging in the first place.  Try to reconnect with your passion behind the scenes.  Go back through your blog's greatest moments or posts you were most proud of.  Remember that you were always brave enough to still hit the publish button even though you were'nt sure what readers would think of your thoughts expressed to words.  Most of all, keep on truckin' if blogging is an important part of you.  Thanks for reading :)
