December 's Battle of the Beauty Sub- Ipsy vs Sample Society

VS

Taking a little break from the Christmas songs on repeat in my brain, Christmas shopping, wrapping, and prepping to show you my December Ipsy bag and Sample Society subscriptions.  Which did I like best this month? Take a look…
Ispy's December bag theme is Celebration. The total retail value of products included this month was valued at about $60.  I only pay $10 a month for this! Here's what was included in December's Ipsy bag…
NYX- Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in Goddess
Full size nude color lipstick.  The formula is moisturizing and creamy. Great to pair with a smokey eye!
Ardell- Natural lash false lashes
Another full size!  These are beautiful and natural looking!
I just got my false lash application down so I am excited to wear these!
Be a Bombshell- The One Stick in Girl Crush
I believe this is also a full sized product.  It can be used on the eyes, lips, or cheeks. I love the versatility, not sure I like the color on my cheeks, it's a little glittery and a pale pink.
POP Beauty- Bright Up Your Life Eye Shadow Trio in Smokin Hot
Sadly I think I am going to gift this.  The colors are a shimmery white, grey, and a black.  It looks quite pretty, but I just got the Studio Gear holiday palette with very similar colors, so I can give it to someone who will use it.
Nicka K Nail Color- Classic Taupe
Another full size product! I seriously love a good Taupe nail polish,
and this one fits the bill!  it dries fast, is nicely opaque and is up there in quality with my favs OPI and Essie.

Now, on to December's Sample Society Box.  I pay $15 a month for Sample Society's five deluxe high end and indie brand product mix.  Here's what was included this month…
Diego Dalla Palma- Rossoressetto lipstick sample
This is a tiny little lipstick, but enough to see that it's a very pretty holiday red!
Alterna- Caviar Dry Shampoo
This is nice! It smell good and works well. I love a good dry shampoo to
freshen up my 2nd day bangs that tend to get oily.  Not quite sure how its anti-aging, couldn't find any info on what makes it that, so?
Ouidad- Curl Recovery ultra Nourishing Cleansing oil
Opps, Sample Society! I have stick straight hair and I know I put that in the original beauty quiz to help determine the products I am supposed to get. This looks amazing, but just not formulated for my hair type so I am going to gift it to my curly hair sis or niece.  :(
Ren- Hydra Calm Global Protection Day Cream
This looks nice, but I am feeling overwhelmed by the number
of sample moisturizers I have at this point, lol.
Philosophy- Hope in a Jar Night Moisturizer
Again, another moisturizer, ahhh! Help, hahaha! I did start using this to compliment the Philosophy Purity cleanser I am using now.  It's nice, really thick and moisturizing.

Overall, both subscriptions were nice , but I preferred…..
 Ipsy. Again!
There were more full sized products so the value was much better, and I paid less for it.  If you're interested in Ipsy click for more info, or to sign up- http://www.ipsy.com

Did you get either subscription this month? I'd love to hear your thoughts….

    1. It is a monthly beauty subscription program and it usually arrives mid month.
