Morpho Zephrytis Butterfly Wing Necklace

While scrolling through all of the gorgeous wonders that Etsy beholds, I came across a beautiful Antique Steampunk Pocket Watch Bracelet.  It's so unique with an edgy feminine vibe that I just love. Literally, I hearted it on Etsy.

Just so happens, owner and creator, Jaclyn, of Chrysalis Studios also creates amazing pieces featuring real butterfly wings incorporated into her designs.  Take a look at this beautiful Morpho Zephritis Butterfly Wing Necklace she sent to me for review purposes…

I have such a love and fascination for the beauty of butterflies and their metamorphosis!  The necklace above features a wing piece of the Morpho Zephritis Butterfly, or the "Blue Mother of Pearl" found in Peru & Boliva.  It's just so beautiful and unique, I truly love wearing it!
Now before some of you go getting your leggings in a bunch, let me mention that no butterflies are harmed in the making of this jewelry!!  Jewelry designer Jaclyn explains the process:

"All butterflies are raised on butterfly farms and sanctuaries and allowed to live their full lifespan, which averages about 1-3 months, and then are collected, preserved, and sold so that their beauty can live on! Butterfly Farming actually helps to preserve rain forests and also assures the survival of natural butterfly habitats. Native people are encouraged to grow plants and raise insects as opposed to clearing land for cash crops."

Jaclyn's jewelry and art is sold at the Southern Spirit Gallery in Salisbury, NC and Amy's Art & Gifts in Denver, NC, in addition to her Etsy shopwebsite and Facebook page.  Check out her butterfly art & jewelry, as well as her beautiful vintage inspired steampunk pieces.  So amazing!
Use the code- 10PERCENTOFF at checkout for a 10% off discount.  These gorgeous pieces would make amazing gifts so be sure to like her Facebook page, as she often posts coupon codes and promos.  She'll also be raffling off a free necklace around Christmas time!

Discolsure: I received a sample for review.  Still 100% honest opinions stated.

  1. That is so pretty! I had a look at their Etsy store and it is all so gorgeous! I love anything butterfly related and my family knows this, so something from there will probably end up on my christmas list this year.

  2. Wow that's very pretty indeed and such a unique idea. Might be a good gift idea too now Christmas is coming. Great post :)

  3. That is really pretty and looks good on you. It reminds me of some kind of mystical amulet lol.

  4. This necklace is beautiful! I love the idea of incorporating butterfly wings into it. I also like that their not harmed. I'd have to think twice about purchasing one otherwise.
