My Nail Polish Collection

I've been doing a bit of Fall cleaning here at home. Once I got to my bedroom I knew I had to tackle this heaping mound of nail polish I've been avoiding.  I threw out the old bottles that looked separated or funky, and laid them all out on my bed in color groups.  I wanted to get a mental picture of what I was really working with.
I really love nail polish and I change my nail color quite often. It's one of the ways I like to relax or clear my head.  I am well aware of the fact that I have a lot of polishes, and I am ok with that. It wasn't until I actually counted them (82) that I realized it was about time I  probably stop buying them.

I am only lying to myself.  I know 82 is probably an excessive amount of polishes, but I don't want to stop buying them.  In my defense, painting my nails really is a way for me to relax, and it's better than relaxing with a cigarette right?  That's my former vice.  Although, I was still buying polishes when I was a smoker.  Hmmm?  Anyway, I love perusing the rainbows of little polish bottles that line the shelves at the beauty stores.  Finding the newest gorgeous color to add to my collection is fun.  What can I say?  I am easy to please.  I've tried:

CND, OPI, Sally Hansen
Jordana, Revlon, China Glaze
Essie, Zoya , Julep
theBalm, WetnWild, Mary K
NYC, Nicole, Circus

And probably some others but my all time favorite brand is........ OPI.  I love their collections, they last long when painted properly, and have an opaque yet none sticky/gooey formula that allows the polish to spread on easily.

So here's how I was going to store them, but it only lasted two days:

This display is one of my favorites gifts from my fiance.  It's a vintage Victoria's Secret store display shelf made of glass and brass.  It's so beautiful and it usually holds my perfumes but I put my polishes on it for easier access.  Boy was that stupid with a 21 month old little girl.  She just would not leave them alone.  Do you blame her?
So,  I plan to order one of those plastic wall mounted polish holders from Amazon, but until then back in the box they go...

Blog post prompt : I'd love to see your collection! How do you store yours? If you make a blog post about your collection and how you store it, be sure to let me know!  I'll add your link to the bottom of this post so readers can check out your collection!  You can even add this prompt to the bottom of your post, and a link back to my post, and we'll keep it going.

Be sure to check out my current Fall OPI and Essie Giveaway to grow your collection with 4 new polishes :)
