One of MAC's many claims to fame is their lipstick. There are so many pretty shades to choose from that can make your lips the star, or the leading lady of your makeup look. I was fortunate enough to win a giveaway in which I got to choose a shadow(Idol Eyes review ) , and a lipstick from MAC. The lipstick I chose was Snob.
I have been searching for a soft pink semi nude color, and from the swatch online I thought this would be perfect.
MAC lipsticks are generally $14.50(US) a tube. Snob is described on the MAC website as "a ladylike mauve". It's a satin lipstick that's part of their permanent line. It can be bought online at mac.com , or at MAC cosmetic counters or stores.
At first application the color was a bit jarring. I personally don't wear too many pink lipstick shades. It was very bright, for me. I have a medium complexion and pink is just not my first go to. However, once I got over the initial shock of something different, I quite liked the color. Here's a swatch and a photo of it applied on my lips:

So not too bright, just different. For me at least. It's definitely not a nude pink though. In my opinion it's a tad too bright to be considered nude. It lasted about 3-4 hours before I had to re-apply. That's after having had a meal and drinks and with no liner or primer. It was creamy when first applied on, but turned a bit matte after an hour or so which I don't mind. I like matte finishes.
I really feel that I'll be wearing this color a lot more this Spring and Summer, when I am a bit less self conscious about brighter colors. Loved the texture and wear, and the longer stares when I was sporting it. Sometimes I have to push myself out of my comfort zone, which this lipstick is for me, but I am always glad I did. Pick up Snob next time you're at MAC if you want a daring yet soft pink color with some cahones :)
