Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick in Celebutard Review

I got a great lip sampler for Christmas from Sephora that included 6 different lip color samplers.  Included was a mini sampler version of Kat Von D's Painted Love lipstick in Celebutard.  I was excited to try this since I haven't tried any of her makeup products yet, and because it looks to be a pretty, peachy nude color.  Here's what the sampler looks like:

I have been on the hunt for a pretty nude color to balance out those dramatic eye days.  I usually use nude glosses so I was really excited to see how this would look.  For Christmas day I did a pretty smoky eye and paired it with this lipstick.  I really like the creamy texture this has going on, and it was a good four or five hours before I had to touch up! When I did, I layered a Smash box gloss over it and the combination was so pretty! I have a medium skin tone and I really loved this soft peachy, pink color on me.  It's a great nude that I think would work well with many skin tones.  Check it out:

I will definitely be happy to spend the $18 on the full size version once my mini runs out.  I was very happy with how long it lasted, and how my lips felt moisturized yet the look was more matte.  Very glad I got to try this!  Im excited to try it layered with other colors too since it worked so well with my Smash box gloss.  Im excited to try more shades :)  Find it here:

  1. I got it as well, as a sample in the Sephora lip favorites box. I love it, it's a beautiful nude color, in case you decide you don't want to spend $18, Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Nude is almost identical, but it doesn't last as long. Retails for $8.99. =)

  2. Love this lipstick!!! it really works well with your skin tone also. It's a great deal and it's o hard to find the perfect nude shade!!
