Last night was my fiance and I's date night. It had been a while with all the crazy going's on lately, so it was very nice to get out kid free! I finally got to wear my new heels I'd been saving. Walking in them wasn't as seamless as it once was but that's what happens when you're out of practice :) Luckily, he couldn't tell. We went to a steak house for dinner, but quickly left when they told us it was a 40 minute wait. We expected a rush but were too hungry to wait that long so we went to Quaker Steak & Lube by the movie theatre. Eh. Food was ok but the waiter was not great.
Anyway, the real mind boggler was the movie J. Edgar. Now, I don't mean mind boggler in the usual Leo way where the movie is so good with twists and turns you don't know how it will end, or want it to end. There were some twists but definitely not one of the better movies he's done and I am a huge fan of his work. I won't spoil anything for anyone but it was not really about what you'd expect. I did learn a lot about J.Edgar that I hadn't known before but it took a silly T.M.I. turn. Anyway, it was a bit jumpy and a little boring at points but I'd give it a C. If you've seen it, let me know what you think....
I just want to show my mani quickly before I go because I am loving the glittery polishes these days. I am also patiently waiting for my Amazon purchase to arrive so I can share with you my fun new find! I tried a gradient effect with my silver shade-OPI Lucerrne-tainly Look Marvelous and China Glaze Ring in the Red that I love paired with everything!!
Sorry, the pic isn't really that great. I am using my phone camera. Hoping Santa brings me a new camera this year :) Anyway, the mix of sparkly shades looks very pretty in person, I encourage you to try it. I started with 2 coats of the greyish OPI color then added the red glitter to the tips and pulling it down in spots toward the cuticle for the gradient effect. Have a great Saturday!
